Welcome to PKL Cares Food Pantry, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit pantry, where we are dedicated to nourishing our neighbors and fostering a sense of belonging. Each month, we distribute free food boxes filled with nutritious staples and fresh produce to families in need. Our mission is to ensure that no one goes hungry, and we believe that access to healthy food is a fundamental right. With the support of generous donors and volunteers, we strive to make a positive impact in our community, providing not only food but also hope and connection. Join us in this vital effort as we work together to create a healthier, more supportive environment for everyone.
We are always in need of helping hands on distribution days which take place the third Saturday of each month at our Food Pantry located at:

Each month, we work in partnership with The Food Bank of Eastern Michigan to purchase food for Oscoda and the surrounding communities by hosting a monthly food box distribution drive. Our incredible team of volunteers come together to pick up, pack, and distribute it to those who need it most. With the support of freezers, refrigerators, and large industrial shelving units, we are able to store and organize food so it remains fresh and ready for distribution.
However, as the demand for food assistance continues to grow, we need your help to increase our reach and serve even more families in our community.
Our pantry is primarily funded through the generous donations of individuals like you, along with some support from grants, but to continue this important work, we need your support.
By donating to PKL Cares, you are directly helping us expand our efforts to ensure that less families have to struggle to put food on the table. Your contribution, no matter the size, makes a tangible difference in the lives of those who rely on us for support. Together, we can make sure that more families receive the nourishment they need to thrive.
We greatly appreciate you. Thank you for your kindness.
